On the 9-10 December, the last network event for this year in the Lowcomote project was completed. The aim was to continue training the participating PhD students in low-code development platforms and give them additional competence in Model-Driven Engineering and cloud computing. The network event consisted of two parts: an international research meeting and a Low-code workshop.
On the first day of the event, students participated in an internal research meeting. During the meeting, they had the chance to introduce their research to the others: the papers they have published this year and their future goals. Our colleague, Benedek Horváth, who is a PhD student taking part in the program, talked about his papers Towards the Next Generation of Reactive Model Transformations on Low-Code Platforms: Three Research Lines and Model Checking as a Service: Towards Pragmatic Hidden Formal Methods.
Besides that, project members had the opportunity to discuss project-related open questions and goals, i.e.: cooperation between students and the scheduling of secondments.
On the second day of the network event, a public Low-code workshop was organized and broadcasted via YouTube. During the workshop, audience could listen to talks by experts from industry and academia on various topics in Model-Driven Engineering. The 40-minute-long presentations were followed by short Q&A sections which resulted in useful discussions.
